Sydney is a native Georgian growing up in the City of Stone Mountain and graduating from Lakeside High school in Atlanta where she played Varsity Soccer. Her continued interest and ability in soccer led her to play Division 1 Soccer at Alabama A & M University in Huntsville, AL. She graduated from Alabama A & M University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems. Upon graduation, Sydney moved to Baton Rouge to earn her Juris Doctor degree and Comparative Law Certificate from Louisiana State University (LSU).

 

She gained exposure to various practice areas by clerking while in law school for a civil litigation firm and had the opportunity to practice under Georgia’s Third Year Practice Act when she clerked with the DeKalb County Solicitor General’s Office.

After LSU, Sydney began her legal career as an Attorney at a disability firm where she represented clients in their claims for Social Security Disability.

Sydney is a member of the Georgia Bar (Admitted 10/2011). She is also licensed to practice before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of Georgia.

She enjoys volunteering with such organizations as the Junior League of Atlanta and her sorority of Alpha Kappa Alpha, Sorority, Inc.
